Saturday in the Strip

Afton wanted to get out this morning so we decided to join the rest of Pittsbugh and most of Boston in the strip.

We saw some furries

And ate some Peruvian Food

And then fell asleep while Mom and Dad Shopped.

Back in Action!!

A little over a month ago I lost my camera...then found it....in the trunk of the car right after a major heat wave. The battery was melted inside the camera. I cursed myself and mother nature and resigned to the fact that I would need to buy a new camera. After researching for weeks to get the best deal I decided to give my camera one last shot. After some serious effort I was able to pull out the old melted battery. Long story short- new battery is here and I am back in action with the old camera! Stay tuned for much more frequent updates now!

The past 24 hours have been huge for our little one. She is like a brand new baby! The most significant development is that she is crawling! Yes, after a few weeks of rocking herself back and forth she decided it was time to get moving. Funny she decided to start when she was at Grandma Day Care! We did get to witness it ourselves today though and she is all over the place.

Her favorite move is a little breakdance number consisting of her spinning in circles from sitting to crawling. We are thinking of getting her a cardboard box to lay out on Carson Street and a little hat for her tips. 

She is also eating anything she can. This girl can spot a piece of carpet lint from across the room and get it in her mouth within seconds. I wonder what the nutritional content of dog hair and fuzz is???

8 Months Old!!!

Our little creep is 8 months old! She had quite an exciting month that included her first flight ever when she went to visit her cousins in Chicago. No Doctors visit this month so no updates on stats but we can tell she is gaining weight just fine by looking at her thighs and she is getting taller according to the clothes she is outgrowing.

New This Month- Afton is on the verge of crawling...when I say on the verge I mean she will probablly start by the time I am done with this post. She loves to feed herself whatever she can get her hands on. She had some MAJOR sleep issues this month that we seem to have overcome. After several nights spent reading her "Go the F to Sleep" from 2am to 5am each night we decided that we would just let her cry. She learned pretty quick that was not going to work for her and she is once again sleeping through the night. She pulls herself up in her crib which is a funny thing to walk into.
Favorite things- Still loves water. Her Drums, Puffs, Pants on her head, counting to 3 ( me counting to her) and eating.
Favorite Song of the Month- Hot Dog ( the mickey mouse song)
Favorite Car Song- Hello Dolly (dubbed the miracle song because it always stops her from crying)
Favorite Food- Bread, Bagels, Puffs and Winter Squash
Favorite Toy- Her Drums and Steve
Favorite Book- Brown Bear, Goodnight Moon
Favorite Words- MAMAMAM, DADADDADA, AACCKK, SSTTTT
What Makes her Laugh- Everything! It is so easy to make her laugh these days. Counting to three is a favorite as is playing peek-a-boo
